The strength lost
The regular drainage of energy
The surrounding of a moist trauma
The heap of thoughts without solution
The set of constant trials with no ending
The opposition came from every with a root somewhere
With a competition, you feel you can't conquer

The trophy ahead isn't easy to get
Yet, the conquerors awarded themselves with it
The competition becomes tougher
Yet, there's always a companion

Why can't you be the companion in the second half?
Why can't you conquer in the competition and become the conqueror in the second half?

The CEO of Cakes By Jawn Tee was inspired by the First Utmost African Super Hero Movie, "BLACK PANTHER Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures to sculpt out as a master piece for the Cake Mania event precisely on the 25th of May 2018 in the city of Uyo.

The Master Piece was an all Sponge Cake and 100% edible and was sculpted using real human body measurements and covered with  fondant icing.

In his words, "I spent 3 days, one night and 4 hours working on it".

Multi talented Akaninyene Joseph Amos. A native of Ikot Abasi LGA in Akwa-Ibom state began his foray into the spoken word poetry biz world while he was a first year students of Theatre Arts department in University of Uyo. Initially, it began as a joke but, after a careful observation, he decided to go professional in his second year. Kanzy Smith, as he’s popularly known, kept on grooming himself in the art and, you can almost bet how flawless he is in the game now. He’s been privileged to share the same stage with the likes of Freke Umoh, Progress Effiong, Ikpa Udo, MR XTO and a host of others. He won the award for male personality of the year. he have performed in shows like Fusion, cake mania, Ibom Poetry day, inspiration FM Praise Jam no wonder he is the winner of this year edition as the best student poet!!!

Covenant Iniobong Sunday 

A 500 level student in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Uyo.

He was admitted into the institution in the year 2013 and ever since then he has been focused towards making impacts on the academic community.

In 2015, he was awarded as the Most Performing Student in the University of Uyo by the Student Union Government.  In 2016, he was the star prize winner in MacGeorge Research and Data Analysis Contest, Lagos where he represented University of Uyo. Again in 2016, he was awarded as the most active student of his department. Recently, he won as the Star prize winner of the 2018 Technical Research Writing and Paper Contest held at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he represented University of Uyo and came first amongst 48 other universities.

Covenant Sunday together with his team invented an award winning Automatic Voice Recognition Robotic System which stands as the first ever Robotic Model in Uniuyo. Another invention is the design and production of a fibre and palm nut separating machine.

His academic antecedents have made him a recipient of the following scholarship awards:

Shell Nigeria Exploration and Production Company (SNEPCO) Scholarship, Agbami Medical and Engineering Scholarship, Uma ukpai Undergraduate Scholarship, MFM undergraduate Scholarship, Carebridge Foundation Scholarship, MacGeorge & George Research Scholarship, Ati Annang Scholarship (2016 and 2017), and Federal Government undergraduate Scholarship. 

Covenant Sunday is an Ambassador of Youths of Honour and Proactive Leadership, Abuja.

He is also the Student Ambassador of Carebridge Foundation, Texas, United States of America.

He is currently on a first class and a pioneer student to be first inducted from the Faculty of Engineering into the University of Uyo Honour’s Roll in 2014.

Uduak-obong Tony socially known as DIYEN DAN is a student of the department of Fine and Industrial Arts, Faculty of Environmental studies; University of Uyo, Uyo.

Diyen Dan was born on the 2nd of May 1994 in Ini local government area, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He began to hone his talent for art at the age of 12 years old.

Early piece of his work includes portrait of: Tivasavage, Chineduikedieze (Aki), Dprincemavin and Emmyjeffrey e.t.c. Diyen Dan's project layers was featured on the 2017 calabar carnival and exhibited at the cultural center Calabar in Nigeria. His recent project Adorned was recently exhibited at the Akpoke's gallery of art Calabar. Apart from Gallery and Exhibition work, Diyen Dan create portraiture work for client and art lovers

Jeremiah Penking Jackson is a final year student of Department of Medicine & Surgery, Faculty of Clinical Sciences, University of Uyo. He is a Creative Writer, serial blogger, media personality and an online influencer.  He has published several novels to his credit which include Pool of Blood, Waist Deep, Nelly's Secret, My Husband's Wife, etc. 

He has worked in several positions of authority including:

Media Consultant and Editor-in-Chief, University of Uyo Medical Students Association (UUMSA) 2017

HOW TO ACCEPT THE TRUTH?

Sometimes, we never accept the truth; we assume that it's so ugly that it's can't be told to people because, we don't have the courage to do so then, we get ourselves shamed.

90% of the truth told are not done willingly rather by persuasion from humans or conscience.

How to learn to accept the truth?

- Primarily, tell yourself the truth:- A proverb says "you can deceive everyone but, you can't deceive yourself".
Yourself, you can't deceive therefore, learn to admit the truth to yourself and work on it.

- Learn to listen to others:- Other human keeps a close watch at you to note your flaws, if any human discussion your flaws with you, appreciate it not all humans do that, some are awaiting to use your flaws against you.

- Learn to be truthful:- The truth, set you free from every deceitful lifestyle forwhy, one truth leads to another truth and one lie leads to another lie. So, which do you chose?
To be a liar or a truther?
Well in my prescription, I will recommend that you should be a truther.

The truth:-
- Gives you a well defined dignity. - Makes you a (wo)man of integrity.
- Generate an apex of greatness
- Gives you higher platforms daily.

To be honest, it's quite cumbersome to be a truther tho, lots of temptable situations will come your way but, if you can stand up to the truther that you're, you'll win the race and benefits more than expected.

9.  If you are in any traffic or 'hold up', 'go- slow' as in local parlance, if you must remain in your car while it is not in motion, always apply your central lock.

10.  Do not leave your children alone in the car with your dog or any pet.

11.  Nowadays, never enter a lift alone if you must. So many are already gone through this.

12. Never leave your opened drink to take a call outside. It could be a plan to distract you. Many have been poisoned through this.

13. Never rush out to turn off the tap on hearing its sound in the night. It's a new robbery trick to wilfully bring you out. Remember, you didn't leave it running before retiring to bed.

The Uniuyo Talent & Award 2018 which was held at the Emerald Events Centre Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The red carpet effected by 4pm and the event commenced by 6pm which went down still 11:28pm.
There present was the Wife of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State humbly represented by her elder brother, The Chairman of Onuk Anam LGA, Hon. Ubong B. Idiong, The Vice Chairman of Uyo LGA, Hon. Udeme Ukai, Comrade Ini Ememobong well represented, Hon. Akan Okon, Honourable Commissioner for Housing Akwa Ibom State, The CEO of Amaecom and Founder of Mitchel & Mitchell Business School and other phenomenal dignitaries well recognized.

In the accordance of the event, Comrade Ini Ememobong representative gave the opening remark.
Special Recognition Award was presented to Late Prof. Stella Bernard Idiong (Nigeria's First Female Professor of Fine & Industrial Arts), she was to be represented by her daughter; Her Excellency, Mrs Martha Udom (The First Lady of Akwa Ibom State) who was represented by  her elder brother, The Chairman of Oruk Anam LGA, Prince Ubong B. Indeed, they were rewarded for creativity, passion and services.

NIGERIA FOOTBALLER MUSA AHMED SHAMED THE ICELANDERS.

Nigeria was slumped to the disappointing 2-0 defeat in the opening game of the 2018 FIFA World Cup on the 16th of June 2018, Croatia left impressed.
With all manner of doubt, Ahmed Musa became Nigeria's highest goal scorer at FIFA World Cup 2018 on the 22nd of June 2018 as the Super Eagles played against Iceland.

After a goalless first half, Musa turned up to open the scoring in the 49th minute when he converted a pass by Victor Moses.

He doubled Nigeria's lead when he run through the Iceland defender to slot in the ball in the 75th minute.

Now the score board reads Super Eagles 2-0 Iceland.

THE SQUELCH OF FEAR AND NEGATIVITY BY HOPE.

Can hope be a better kill off for fear and negativity?

Oh yes, the possessionary of multiple hopes lesser that of fear and negativity; Its because two rivals can't win the war at the same time. It's either one surpasses the other or they both have an equal rights or privileges.

In succeeding, favourable outcomes are there supposed achievements; Therefore, negativity and positivity should not have equal rights or privileges in the life of an optimist's achiever rather, the level of positivity should be higher, practically 60-100% in juxtapose to the level of negativity which should be between 40-0%, not a fifty-fifty.

The potency of hope squelches fear and negativity in the lives of human; The higher your hope, the lesser your fear and negativity, as well as, the stronger your hope, the weaker your fear and negativity.
Positivity has a way of dominating negativity. Consequently, your hope is a virtuous desire for a good future in which, it is positive and if the desire for the good future is grown daily to an irresistible level of about 60-100%, fear and negativity will depreciate daily as well.
Hope can suppress fear and negativity on the account of, you desire a good future.
You and I have a mutual agreement that HOPE can kill off fear and negativity.
Be hope filled.
Have lots of Hope.
And, stay Hopeful.

THE BENEFITS OF HOPE.

Hope has a relatively close relationship with optimistic and pessimistic. Tho, optimistic and pessimistic are oppositions and they're not identical to hope but, they work in synergy to have a perfect no hope or full hope.

Everyone has expectancies but, it's in their place to decide if they won't or will have hope to exceed their expectancies.

In the sight of having great desire for the right motives; Pessimistic brings about little or no hope while optimistic brings about full hope.

WHY CHOOSE PESSIMISTIC?

A pessimist is unstable in decision taking because, they can never take risks. They feel they can't make it's, so in a little trial and error, their end of discussion is that they are failures.

At times, their pessimistic attitude spare them from failures or drastic breakthrough but, they fail more than the real failure itself.
